Linseed is an EMDR & General Therapy Practice run by Michelle Doorbar.

EMDR is one of the most effective, evidence-based treatments for emotional distress, addiction, grief, and physical or psychological trauma.

What is it?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychological therapy that uses bilateral stimulation to enable deep memory processing.

Outcomes

EMDR often has shorter treatment times than traditional talk therapy and can improve quality of life without extensive storytelling. Recall memories rather than reliving them.

Who is it for?

It has been proven effective for experiences such as emotional distress, addiction, grief, physical or psychological trauma, and pain management.

About your therapist.

I have been a therapist for over 20 years, working in both outpatient mental health and addiction services before moving into private practice in 2016. Since then, my work has focused on sexual abuse and complex trauma.

I am currently an EMDR Case Consultant-in-Training and continue to develop my skills and knowledge through ongoing learning and professional development.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is an important part of our work together. I aim to offer a steady, non-judgmental space where you can talk about difficult experiences, including things that may feel painful, confusing, or hard to put into words. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come to therapy. We can work through things at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Whether you have a question, an idea, or just want to say hello, feel free to reach out—we’re here to help.

Use the form below to drop us a message, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Please note: I am not currently accepting ACC clients for general counselling or ongoing therapy. I only accept ACC referrals for adjunct EMDR therapy, where a client’s existing therapist refers them to me specifically for EMDR treatment. The client continues to see their usual therapist for all other therapeutic support.
